Add A Pop of Color: Neon Streaked Hair
Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2013 runway collection featured a unique twist on your everyday top knot-a streak of color.

You could always try this look with a high quality clip-in extension, such as the Sultra hair extension (Sephora, $9 each). These clip-ins are 100% human hair (Indian Remy) and come in a variety of colors. Because they are real human hair they can handle heat so they can be curled, waved, crimped, etc.
I personally have them in Cameo Pink Solid, Ocean Teal Solid, and Cameo Pink Cheetah. They offer a lot more versatility than cheaper synthetic clip-ins which tend to get tangled and will melt when heat is applied.
And for those who are looking to update their look this spring and are ready for a little bit mor of a commitment, the editors for Birchbox guide you through the steps to get this look with something a little more permanent-hair dye!

1. If you have dark hair, make sure to bleach a section first so that the new color shows. You’ll want to leave the bleaching to a professional since this can get messy and really damage your hair if you leave it on too long.
2. Choose a rich, bright color. Not only is it more fun but it will also last longer than lighter colors, which may look faded.
3. If you decide to add the color yourself (after it’s been professionally bleached or as a touch up), use gloves! This can get extremely messy and leave your fingers dyed for days. You’ll also want to wrap the streaked hair in foil while the color sets so that you don’t stain your shirt.
4. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to help your streaked hair stay healthy. Even better, though, try a color-safe option that has hydrating properties like Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Wild Ginger Lather Shampoo & Awapuhi Wild Ginger Cream Rinse. The Awapuhi product line is made specifically for those with color-treated locks
Here are the tools necessary to get a neon-bright streak:
A bowl, gloves, a Color Brush & Paul Mitchell Inkworks in Hot Pink, Yellow, & Neon-Orange.
